Eddi is an fully automatic device that diverts surplus electricity to a designated load (normally an immersion heater) saving energy and reducing utility bills.
How Eddi works
Eddi monitors the electricity your PV system generates, and how much you are sending back to the grid. It then directs excess electricity, not used by the house, to the immersion heater in the hot water cylinder, or other designated load. It automatically stops heating the water when you are using more power in the house than you are generating.

Unlike cheap water heaters on the market, eddi has been built with the European/Global market in mind. Eddi is the only product to handle heaters up to 3.7Kw, have a by pass switch and expansion board for more installation capability, it uses VariSine™ (PWM) technology which is a safe pure sine wave. Eddi can heat two heaters sequentially, doesn’t have a noisy fan and has a great graphical screen and easy menu settings. Eddi also has an app coming out towards the back end of the year that will display the home owner’s savings and generation since the date of install.
